Arnold Ceramics - Ceramic Artist

To study three dimensional forms and combine them with surface decorum, intensifies the viewers experience when viewing the work. The Clay forms, accompanied by multiple alternative firing processes, incite a decorum between the refined shapes of my work with the unpredictable array of color that comes from multiple firings. These artistic ideals make a profound statement of imagery that stimulates the senses and engages the mind.

As a young student during summer I participated in drawing classes at the ArtInstitute of Chicago; later on in high school I was greatly influenced by a great ceramics teacher. My interest continued to college were I received a Bachelors in Fine Arts from Illinois State University. Now in my later years I still enjoy the path that takes you from an idea to feeling to fruition.
